You will have an Alabama Trivia #8 Test and Chapter 9 History Test on Friday. You will also have a map sheet and AM Tests. Your Compass Learning Assignment for the week (Feb. 21-24) is due by lunch so you should have it all completed by the time you go to lunch.

Homework Planners

ALL 4th grade students are required to purchase a Student Homework Planner for the upcoming year. They are $3.00 and can be purchased in the Elementary Office. Student behavior will be recorded and signed by their teacher each day before they leave. Each student will be required to right down homework assignments and have a parent sign them each night. If not signed or brought back to school, students will receive silent lunch or snack. This will help both the teacher and parent stay in contact with how their child is doing at school and what is expected of them.

Welcome to 4th Grade!!!

Welcome to 4th grade! I'm so excited that you're in my class. We're going to have a great year. Here are some of the following activities that we will be working on throughout the year:

Multiplication & Division races on Fridays

The first day of school is on Monday, August 8th, 2011. You can start coming in around 7:30. Our class is located down in the annex building, Room 414, next to the band hall, so parents are free to park in the bottom parking lot to help unload and bring in your school supplies. Bring your school supplies and a big smile. It's going to be a long day back after summer vacation.

Class Luau Party!!!!

When: Thursday, May 26th, 2011
Where: Mrs. Taylor's Class
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 am
Attire: Wear your tropical/beach inspired clothes. (No bikini's ladies)

***There will be fun and games along with individual awards and a tropical food tasting.

Math Team Winners

Congratulations to the 4th grade Team A for their 2nd place win in the county and for the 5th grade Team A for placing 3rd in the county. Bradyn also placed 3rd overall in the 4th grade written competition. Great job ladies and gentlemen!

School on Friday

School will be dismissed at 12:00 on Friday so that students, faculty, and parents can attend the funerals of RLS students Evan Carpenter and Levi Neal. A notification letter will be sent home as well.

United Daughters of the Confederacy

Mrs. Lynn Castleberry came and talked to our class about events that happened in the Civil War. Monday was the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
